Now that our software can vastly out perform a human's ability to record, collate and display data, our GeoTechs can focus on continuous cuttings as liberated by the bit, rather than a thin slice every few feet.   

     The Continuous Sampling Method

 We are able to more closely preserve the wellbore strata in its original order preventing thin laminations to escape visual detection via microscopic and fluoroscopic examination.

 A virtual cross section of contiguous segments of the wellbore allows true sequential analysis.  Very subtle changes in color,texture, grain size, porosity, accessories and  fluoresence are clearly defined under direct comparison section by section. 

 One additional benefit is the ability to extract interstitial gasses directly from the cuttings after visual analysis, thus producing "in situ" gas profiles unaffected by hydrostatic dynamics clearly visible in the mud flow gas curve.

 Modern wells can have much in common, but be very different.

 One will require a high vis mud while another must have fresh water.

 These variables' affects on the arrival of samples based on densities of gas and cuttings are seldom considered.

 Plotting of cuttings gas analysis data can further reveal vital formation content. Our advanced Lag Conveyor method very precisely plots gases to their actual drilled depths, while our Continuous Sampling method allows us to very accurately correlate the cuttings and their analysis to their proper depths. 

 The advantages are many.  Only this kind of precise data management and in-depth lithologic analysis supports the decision makers in all stages of drilling and completion that help reduce costs and increase production.
